About Me

SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTIONS*PDX...
MISSION STATEMENT: We seek to provide Portland's electronic music community with the opportunity to interact with members of all genres, the best local talent, and national headliners in an intimate setting. This is a move towards solidarity, in which we can come together as one scene...once a month...in front of one stage...and REPRESENT.
Often it has been said and still it holds true that if you want something done right, sometimes you just have to do it yourself. and thus was born the impetus that drives Shameless Self Promotions. With musical backgrounds as varied and diverse as a walk through any record store, three friends have embarked on a journey (a mission if you will) to unify the Portland electronic music scene. Michael Pitts, Paul Siscoe, and Adam Smith invite one and all to REPRESENT their tribe, genre, scene, style, dance, groove, break, snare, bass, noise, etc....every 1st Friday of the month at Portland's newest and hottest performance/dance venue the Someday Lounge. Each show promises a glimpse at the best local talent from various styles of electronic music with a chance to see major headliners REPRESENTing a literal finger on the pulse of the scene at large.
Aside from a longstanding career in Portland's performance scene at the helm of such projects as tranceSEND and SHIFT, Mike is a longstanding techno enthusiast and has performed locally as a founding member and beat maker in the project TOO/machines with local favorite Radium Z. From turntables in the park in NYC during his youth to a yearlong residency at CLUB USA in L.A. to his current foray into the DnB/JUNGLE scene here in PDX, Paul Siscoe aka DJJINN brings together the spirit of the old school and the body of the new every time he plays out. Claiming roots as a club DJ on the Oregon Coast led Adam Smith to co-found the industrial/goth bi-monthly TRAUMA at Berbatis with his sister J.me. Currently his infectious blend of syncopated madness as the n0xious Noise Project proves that he is no stranger to the world of clicks and beeps.
And so begins REPRESENT! Heed the call to the tribes of the electronic community...once a month...one stage...one scene. The way it was meant to be. Come out and show everyone who you are and what you love
Peace.
