Sun and Moon Yoga Studio opened its doors in Meguro, Tokyo on 16 December, 2003 and has been a sanctuary for the busy and an inspiration for all in Tokyo, spreading the LOVE.
Many students and teachers have passed through its doors and have inspired, or been inspired by, others in a peaceful and fun-loving atmosphere.
Today, the studio continues to have a strong sense of community and openness while hosting a wide variety of classes and workshops from teachers both local and international. News of upcoming workshops can be found in the blog above, and photos from past events can be found in the photo section and on our website. The owner of Sun and Moon Yoga is Leza Lowitz, who is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area & Berkeley, and is also an award-winning writer and translator of Japanese literature. Author of the best-selling "Yoga Poems: Lines to Unfold By," and "Sacred Sanskrit Words: For Yoga, Chant and Meditation." She is the winner of the 2001 PEN/Oakland Josephine Miles Award for Poetry among many other honors, and Editor of Japanese Film Scholar Donald Richie's Japan Journals 1947-2004, among 12 other books, most from Stone Bridge Press of Berkeley. The amazing teachers at Sun and Moon are a dedicated bunch of yoga lovers who welcome you with open arms.
