Frog of a Well

About Me

English :
Frog of a Well, formerly Nightshade is a Nagoya band born along the long windy Nagoya road!
Frog of a Well, or Matt's Nightshade, is a band that started in Nagoya in 2006.
Most songs are composed by Matthew COCKAYNE (Lead Singer, Guitar) bringing his universe to notes.
Matt was soon joined by the classical guitar player Matthew SMITH (rhythm guitar) during one of his gigs around Nagoya.
After some time, Violin hobbyist Nicolas HOLTZER (gypsy-like violin, backing vocals, worn off jokes) being in the surrounding of The Smithonator, got bewitched by the cetlic spirit and joie de non vivre of Matt C song and decided to contribute with his off-fashion ideas.
Guitar shredder Hiroshi YAMAGUCHI (Congas, shouchu), being forbidden to touch guitar not to humble the rest of the group, is bringing a little bit of Japanese and latin rythms to our otherwise European folk band.
We could play with those different marvelous people in the past:
- Drum legendary Q QUINCY YIP
- Bass funky man: James Ovenden
