ニホンバンジーザス

First thing's first: we're not a religious band - quite the opposite.Nih.. Japanese Jesus...and is there likely to be one of those? Currently, we're five friends based around Kouenji, Tokyo, who have played in different bands in different countries. Three of us come from Tokyo's - 'Metro-Ongen' , so I guess we're not so dissimilar, but the other two of our number are trying to steer things down a more art-rock route. We're looking for our own sound, trying new things, swapping instruments, languages, drinking coffee and beer, talking about important things (philosophy, politics), very slightly less important things (books, music) and utterly random bollocks (don't ask), and trying not to get tied up in what everyone else thinks a band should be. Nothing's quite done yet, but that's sort of the idea. We're not sure where it's going but CDs and gigs will follow shortly. Yeah, this approach sounds cliche'd but what isn't these days?
