About DJ MIKI
Since bursting on to the Tokyo psychedelic trance circuit in 2002,
DJ Miki has taken advantage of her wide range of musical training and pure
talents to become one of Japan's most promising export DJs.Miki has been residence for Sirius Records Japan since the
Tokyo-based label was created in 2003. Among her fellow Japanese female DJs,
Miki commands a spot in the upper elite.This ultra-talented young woman is gifted with perfect pitch recognition and
started to play the classic piano when she was only 3 years old. Later she
learned to play the flute with ease.In 1999, Miki made her debut as a professional singer and was an immediate
success - she has released five vocal CDs in Japan and is still recording.As a psy-trance DJ, there are few who can match Miki's beautiful energy and
emotion when she is given 3 CDJs and a mixer to play with. Miki's mixing
style "is based on music theory, but boldly mixed with specially selected
music."In addition to psychedelic trance, Miki has a sizzling electro set that gets
better and better with each party.2007 saw Miki's first of many international bookings: Seoul, South Korea,
billed with Astrix in April; and in September as headliner for A.P.A.P. in
New Caledonia, a not-for-profit association that donates excess monies from
parties to children's funds all over the island.DJ Miki first met her passion for dance music in London and carries the
ethereal spirit of the travelers' parties of Europe to unleash on the decks.
She also grooves on techno, house, new wave, and UK rock.
