I am here for Friends

About Me

My husband, Ted, and I have been missionaries in Kyushu in southern Japan for 43 years. We have two children, Debbie, who is working with us in Kurume Bible Church, and Bruce who is praying about going to Fiji as a missionary with his wife. We pioneered the work of Kurume Bible Church here and after 25 years there are around 35 adults attending the services. The church building is hand made by Ted, Marlin Edwards, a friend from Bible School, and some of the church memebers (especially Eiji Watanabe who worked every day for three years) and volunteers who could spare a day, carry stuff, swing a hammer, or even clean up. Ted and I are both past 70, but we feel there is still some work for us to do here. The Lord has been gracious to us and we are still seeing His work go forward not only here, but in our camp project in Hoshino (an hour away in the mountains).
