About Me

Birthday: July 16th, 1960/ Birth Place: Osaka, Japan.She started singing professionally at the night club in Osaka when she was 18 years old. Her first album which she made as a singer in a duo group called PSYS had been released in 1985 from Sony Records. She has been singing jazz mainly since PSYS broke up in 1997 after creating more than 15 albums together. She made 1 funk/soul album that was produced by James Gadson, three jazz albums and many more.She says "I love jazz very much because I was born as a daughter of a jazz musician and grew up listening to great jazz music, but I do not care if my music would not be categorized as jazz. I love music and I just want to make good music using all the possibility and ability that I own and I do not want to give up improving myself as a singer and also as a human. I want to make people happy with my music. That is all that matters to me as a musician." She sings both in Japanese and English. Still she wants to learn other languages. She thinks it would be great if she would make many friends through "my space" with people who think the same as she does.
