Junky Waltz was formed in Gifu, a city in the middle of Japan in 2001.
After several line-up changes, they developed their current style in 2004.
Their music has revived the spirit of great acts of '70s hard rock,
such as Black Sabbath & Motorhead, yet sounds fresh and modern. It's
heaviness is overwhelming.
The voices rage with the strength of beasts and the riffs and rhythms
reverberate in your gut and stimulate your brain.
On top of this crushing foundation are beautiful melodies. The music
is very emotional and expressive.
The first album, 'COUNTERFEIT JUSTICE' was released in June 2007.
Touring for the album began in July 2007, and the band played an
impressive 28 different areas of Japan.
They have become known as the 'Rock 'n' Roll Monster' to fans in the
Japanese HR/HM scene.
