THE LEGEND OF SNAKE HEAD RED: While on a tour of "Ghost Towns of Texas" I stumbled upon the town named Snake Head pop. 0..It was an abandoned oil drilling town, nothing left now except for some rigs and the buildings that went along with it. One building had a sign in front that said "Saloon"..I walked in...it was empty ....there was a bar with a row of 12 bar stools...To my surprise I heard a voice.."Can I Help You?"...i looked behind the bar and an old man looked at me and smiled. I said well sure I’d like a drink. He said all we serve here now is Snake Head Red, a home made Tequila...Now I had heard of Gold and Silver tequila but never Red...He saw my guitar that I was carrying with me and I explained to him I was a Singer/Songwriter..He said this is your lucky day then..He explained: Have a few shots of this and then go in the yard out back and stay there tonite. MAKE SURE YOU TURN ON YOUR TAPE RECORDER. Snake Head Red will inpire you to write 12 songs. Just make sure you have your recorder on. I wandered out back , it was sunset. I lit a campfire and started playing my guitar..What happened after I don’t remember. I woke up the next morning and my tape recorder was filled up with 12 songs. I looked around and saw and heard no one. Went back in the saloon and the bottle and the bar stools were gone. The bartender was no where to be seen.I headed back to Austin with my tape player and listened to the 12 songs which I had written the night before...The first two "Pray For Rain" and "One To Four" can be listened to here right now, as well as "Ghost Town," and "Snake Head."

The cd "Snake Head Red" will be released sometime in December 2007.
