Born and raised in Mexico City, Maze became interested in music at the age of thirteen.Ever since he can remember, Maze has been around all kinds of English-spoken music and was deeply influenced by the Rock movement during the 80s and 90s.Even though Maze begins his musical journey playing the bass, years later he discovers the guitar as the perfect mean for self-expression.During the first years of learning, Maze experiments with different genres and styles but slowly and naturally begins to find his true voice in a mixture between Rocks rhythm and Folks melancholy.His inclination for this style of music led him in a completely different direction than other local singers/songwriters at the time, allowing him to develop his own particular sound, which makes him easily recognizable.Although his passion lies in singing and writing his own songs, his first full-length project was the creation of the soundtrack (A Day at Sea, 2002) for a documentary about marine life filmed in the Caribbean during 2002.Speed of the Flow is Maze's debut album as a singer-songwriter and has been well received by the press and public.This album represents more than 10 years of artistic exploration and required over two years of hard work for its materialization.For more information please visit us at www.mazeproject.com or write to us at [email protected]..
