Where words fail, music speaks

About Me

Where to begin? I'm a very average young(ish) girl in every sense of the word really. I am by no means a 'girly girl', with me it's about the qualities within, which I would like to think I extend to others too. I'm rather sensitive and a big thinker on many things in life ( I sometimes wonder if there is anyone quite like me out there in this big world lol), my friends will also know me as a loyal, caring friend with an open ear and enjoys a good laugh and chat. I started studying Psychology and early childhood studies at Wolverhampton University Autumn 2006, after gaining my Level 3 Cache Diploma in childcare and education. September 2007 I started my first job at a Primary School as a teaching assistant and Learning Support Assistant (Supporting a 5 year old with Down Syndrome). I spent 12 years in Germany due to my Dad's job but despite making friends there, England is where my heart has always been.
I'm a huge music fan, and Darren Hayes especially has been such a rock in my life. He's a true inspiration, a lovely man to meet and you're always garanteed a great time at his shows.
This is the video of my favourite song by Darren. 'Darkness' (on his album 'The Tension And The Spark') became somewhat of a 'signiture tune' for me during a dark time in my life in early 2005 when I lost 2 close people to me within 5 weeks of each other and was still finding my feet being back home.
Saying an artist is a 'rock' in your life sounds like such a cliche or someone who hasn't grown out of a 'celebrity crush' but Darren has been there with a song that described exactly how I was feeling, ever since the Savage Garden days.....

Other than Darren Hayes, there was a group who had a big musical influence on me growing up: Take That. I've been a fan of theirs since I was 8 years old and it's amazing having them back. Back then it was just a dream to see them live and meet them, and there I was in 2006 seeing them 3 times (inc. in the incredible Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales) on a reunion tour and met my favourite Gary and to top it off we got a new great album unlike anything they've done before.

Other than music I'm also a big football fan and support Liverpool FC and of course the England National team (3 Lions on the shirt :p). I've never experienced so much pride and passion than being in Anfield hearing and seeing the fans belt out our anthem 'You'll never walk alone', even hearing it on tv on our amazing Anfield European nights leaves me very emotional and gives me goosebumps! Other teams may be rivaling us on the trophy front and how we play but I challenge you to find such a unique and incredible fan support like Liverpool FC have!
Anyway, I'm going on... to wrap this up; I also enjoy posting on my favourite forum, relaxing in front of the tv and going out with friends (especially for cocktails or a good movie!) Obviously being a big music fan I consider going to concerts the best night out available to mankind. I'm addicted to the rush of excitement you get once those lights are turned down and how the music really comes alive!
And that is me.... pretty much!! ;)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I've already met my two favourite singers: Darren Hayes and Gary Barlow but certainly wouldn't decline meeting them again ;) I also met a very exciting new British artist called Gary Go in March 2009. His debut album is fantastic and will be touring with Take That this Summer.
Anyone from my list of fave music, films, tv shows etc really, but especially Aki Hakala of 'The Rasmus', Paul O'Grady, Leonardo Di Caprio, the rest of 'Take That' and I'm desperate to see Casey Stratton live. Oh and SALLY MORGAN the psychic!!!! What I would give to have a session with her!!! She's amazing!

If you've had a shit day let Darren Hayes sort it out lol

It breaks my heart

I can't believe someone can have so much power (and hate?) to divorce 18,000 couples in California just because they happen to be gay couples. Are they any less committed and loving towards their rela...
