Ikkaku

Not much is known about my history, but it's likely that I have been in the 11th Division since becoming a shinigami. During Renji's time in the 11th Division, I was Renji's senpai and taught him how to fight. Like Rukia and Renji, I came from Rukongai. At some point, I met Yumichika and we became friends. We would later have an encounter with Kenpachi and Yachiru before they entered the Seireitei. Kenpachi and me fought, with me losing and nearing death. When I asked Kenpachi why he didn't kill me, Kenpachi replied that if he killed me now, he would never get another opportunity to fight me again. He then told me not to seek death, but to consider myself lucky for not having died. The encounter is my main reason for staying in the 11th Division, as I want to continue serving under Kenpachi and might not get a chance to fight him again, otherwise.Soul Society arcDuring the events of the Soul Society arc, I act as foe and later friend to the main character, Ichigo. By the end of the arc it is clear that we are friends; however, we continue to argue over small things and try to fight each other constantly, in a similar relationship to Ichigo's with Renji. When Ichigo and Ganju first enter Seireitei, they come across Me and Yumichika. Ganju runs away and Yumichika gives chase, leaving Ichigo and me alone to fight. We do so, with Ichigo narrowly winning, though both he and I are badly injured. I considered myself lucky first at having found an opponent without trying, and then for not being killed in the battle. Later on in the arc, I accompany my captain to take Ganju, Ishida, Chad and Orihime to Ichigo, so that the former may fight again with him, and end up fighting Tetsuzaemon. This fight consists of us fighting for the right to relax while the other brings sake for us to drink.Bount arcDuring the later parts of the Bount arc, Me and Yumichika head the patrol for Kariya while Kenpachi is missing. We also direct the sealing of the various spirit power sources scarred about Soul Society. On a comical note, during Kon's Shinigami Golden in Episode 109, I tell Kenpachi Zaraki that Ichigo defeated the remaining Bounts and he went back home. This makes Kenpacho angry because he wanted to fight Ichigo, and plans to kill him next time they meet. Ikkaku thinks to himself that Ichigo made the right decision to just go home.Arrancar arcAfter the events of Soul Society, I join Yumichika, Renji, Rukia, Hitsugaya, and Rangiku on their mission in Karakura Town. During Grimmjow Jaggerjack's attack on anyone in the human world with any semblance of spirit power, I fought one of the arrancar Grimmjow brought with him, Edorad Leones. Staying true to my personality, I fight alone, despite Keigo's protests, and take great delight in the battle. Though it is a close battle, I emerge as the victor after reluctantly revealing my final release. My final release is supposed to be a secret because i fear if people find out i may be moved to another division or be promoted to captain in another division. After striking a deal with Keigo, me and Yumichika found a place to stay while in the real world. Keigo's sister, Mizuho, also seems to really like me because of my bald head. When the Espada launch a second attack on the human world, Me, Yumichika, Rangiku and Hitsugaya fight Luppi. Luppi gains the upper hand but Hitsugaya turns the fight around with ease. Me and the rest of Hitsugaya's task force then learn that Orihime has followed the arrancar back to Hueco Mundo, and they have returned to Soul Society to help prepare for the war against Aizen.
