"DJ Khaled "Out Here Grindin"
..I would like to meet each and everyone of you that stopped by my spot to take a look, comment or to curse me.
REAL TALK: I want to meet those that have viewed my page and feel my passion for music and would like to help me accomplish my dreams in the music, film and radio biz.
I started my obsession with music when I was old enough to stand... I could cut a rug if you know what I mean... by middle school I was splicing 8-track tapes and cassette tapes to make my own mix tapes. I love making arrangements of song on my mix tapes that actually told a short story. R&B was my passion, Al Green, Smokey Robinson, Taste of Honey, Parliament-Funkadelic, Minnie Riperton, Donna Summer, Bar-Kays, The Jackson Five, Grand Master Flash and the Furious 5, NWA, "EASY" just to many of the pioneers to give props to would spark my passion for HIP-Hop.
Early on July morning in Fulda, Germamy I remember going down to the market square and joining a group of young teen break dancing with cardboard to a new rapper on the scene "LL Cool J". Man was that wild.
After which, I feel in love with Hip-Hop upon returning home from active duty just to find the Rambo story true for most Veterans. Although times where tuff, rocky marriage, one child and one on the way I got a job. Wasn't much but it put food on the table.
Bang!!! like a bullet out of a M16 tumbling towards its target, the HIP-HOP bug hit me right between the shoulder blades and could not be remove. To do so would have meant killing me.
ONe day while working at Burger King flipn' burgers and wearing British Knight sneaks I conceived my very first rap song. The Burger King Rap called the "Hamburger Makers". I have enjoyed listing to story tellers ever since. Give it a nice Azz bounce beatm the bass so deep salt and pepper dances across the table top or a smooth slow note on the wind so light and funky it intoxicating or even high hat rippn' it clean out the box; Man!!!! Exciting just thinkn' bout them days... Ohio Players, time to set it off and jax this piece on FIRE yo. The Roof, The Roof; need I say mo?!.
Well enough of that; fast forward.
I enjoy the management side of music now. Development: stage and studio and managing young and seasoned artist in the craft, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, Jazz; Blues hell the fundamentals are quite the same.
Music is What it is... It has gone a bit astray but it is rebounding. Just look at what The Game and other artist are doing with bring band(s) and bigger band(s), live sound, back to Hip-Hop; Herbie Hancock you bad moFo. Hell lets give it up to Paul Hardcastle - Nineteen and the B52s' - fusion of dance, punk and vintage.Throw your hand up.
All fingers need to be extended and joined. Then curled to make a fist; Then set off with your set, Respect must be paid or all the blood shed is for not!If you are not able to assist me with my dream please become a member of your local PTA or City Council and school board to make music a priority in schools again.ONe Love and Peace be unto you and yours.SignedFrom the FAM, I AM Black and I AM Proud.... SAY IT LOUD!!!!
