SUMO MASTERS

About Me

This is a site dedicated to the wonderful sport of Sumo wrestling, a sport that has a long history in Japan. It is an itroductory site run by a fan, and I will direct you to better sources of info than this; this space is to get you hooked on Sumo!!!! The rules are simple: two men face each other and try to force each other out of a circle, or make their opponent touch the ground with any body part other than the soles of the feet; whomever gets pushed out first, loses. The bouts are usuall very short and heated, and there is no room for a mistake. A large repertoire of techniques are used by these large but agile and quick opponents; many are very agressive. Pushing, tossing, slapping, and other related techniques are common. It is very popular, and the fans are very passionate. I will change the videos on the main page often. Also, the articles in the blog are borrowed, and if anyone has an issue with this, please don't be afraid to let me know. Thanks.
