"A Quiet Cornerstone"
This quiet member has a responsibility to bond the relationship between each member in the band, just like the essence of his instrument, bass which can weave each sound together into one.
Being fascinated by top metal bass player Steve Harris from IRON MAIDEN in his high school days, he started playing bass guitar, just like millions of other bass players all over the world did.
His technical playing of the bass is structured according to the archetypes set by such musicians as Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Chris Squire, etc.
Now he plays Ken Smith and Yamaha 6-string basses and dedicates himself to the bass lines that make VIGILANTE songs dramatic, supporting the bottom end and occasionally showing the flashy technics by three fingered pickings and two-handed tapping.
He started out his career as a supporting bass player, for various projects participating in many recordings with Japanese heavy metal bands. His highlight was being selected as a bass player in a band started by Eizo Sakamoto (a famous metal singer in Japan). After joining the tour the band released an album.
In those rare moments that he puts the bass down, he likes to hang out with friends for a drink. Other than that, he really loves beer (his favorite is Grolsch!)
(quotes from VIGILANTE website)
I've been playing bass guitar since I was 16 and now in the Prog-Metal band "VIGILANTE" that has record contract with German metal label "Massacre Records".
So far, we have released 4 CDs:
"Chaos-Pilgrimage" 1998,
"Edge Of Time" 1999,
"Thumbnail At You, Master"1999,
"Cosmic Intuition" 2004
And the new album "IV" will be out in this spring, hopefully...
