Sancho Panzer

About Me

Since forming in 2004, socially aware Exeter rockers Sancho Panzer have caused quite the stir down in Devon. After beginning the touring cycle, the band really found themselves, sharing stages with bands such as thisGIRL, The Boxer Rebellion, Betty Curse, Keiko, Fony, Days Of Worth and Midasuno.Continued touring and word of mouth saw the band snapped up by Copro Records imprint Casket Records, and packed off to Mighty Atom Studios in Swansea to work with Joe Gibb (Funeral For A Friend, Million Dead, 3 Colours Red etc). The result was their debut mini-album 'A Current Archetypal', a storming 6 tracker packed with political punch, twisting riffery and melodic intelligence.2007 saw Sancho Panzer's fanbase expand at a healthy rate, contributing to the bands victory in legendary local venue The Cavern's 'Singles club' competition. A feature in Rocksound magazine and the forthcoming release of single 'Superman Comes to the Supermarket' looked set to place this band firmly on the 'ones to watch' list. Unfortunately family commitments forced vocalist Alister Tickle to leave the band before the single was released. After auditioning various replacements the band decided to continue as a three-piece and are set to return in 2009.
