David Parr on Chapman Stick

About Me

Chapman Stick player David Parr has been playing the Stick since 1985. He has been playing out publicly for several years to show what this amazing instrument is capable of.David plays a relaxing mixture of old standards and original songs as instrumentals for restaurants and other events.David also sings and plays original and cover songs in the Blues and Rock style. He plays a 12-stringed instrument made of padauk. It has six melody strings tuned in descending fourths and six bass strings tuned in ascending fifths with the highest string tuned to a fourth. The lowest pitched strings are located at the center of the fretboard.
