Wow it's been a while since my last update... Grab those two mixes as they're two new directions I've taken with my sound. Fire's a more upfront heading, and Water's a more lateral view on the deeper side... This season I've had my head down in producing beats with my main man Scrambler, and we've just had Danny Bonnici in to do a mix down of our new track "Crazy" which has been one epic journey but we've finished and nailed it. For now it's a short wait for Danny's remix and also one from Steve May in the pipeline... From there it's onto the label shopping... I feel a bit humbled having such talent to be able to consult on a regular basis. Scrambler has been doing additional production on TV Rock's album so all is going well. Anyway it's all put me in good stead to be able to focus on projecting the beats in my heart and mind... I've been blessed with having one of the worlds best singers provide a vocal for Scrambler and myself for one of our tracks. We've been putting hours on end into this track so as soon as I have a decent bounce I'll add a snip to this site.
Apart from that I'm currently DJing around Australia along the Eastern Coast playing a mix of House Progressive and Breaks. I love music that gets you lost on the dancefloor. Over the last few years I've played everything from funky house to breaks, progressive and chunky electro tinged house, and techno. Constantly trying to push new sounds and tighter beats, and focus on incorporating progressive influences into whatever club or event I'm playing at. I do it all for the music not for the money so one day I'll be committing all of my time to making a living doing what I love... Dance Music!
As far as nights I've featured at some of Australia's top nights including regular sets at world renowned Renaissance parties, breaks night Fractured, trance night Unify, tribal night Darkbeat, progressive night Private Function, and house night Volume @ Room680. I absolutely love Progressive House it's so much a part of me that I'm constantly thinking about it! I run my own night in Melbourne called preSSure, which has been forging a bit of new light into the Melbourne scene. It's featured some of the best dj line ups in the city including Sean Quinn, Jono Fernandez, Keltec, and Dan Mangan. All guys who tear floors sideways and if you ever get the chance to see these guys take it seriously. You can check out the preSSure website here: preSSure
Last year I supported Hernan Cattaneo [Arg], Jamez Zabiela [UK], Nick Fanciulli [UK], and Dave Seaman [UK], for the Melbourne Renaissance Parties Room680 in Melbourne. Other supports included Alex Kid [FR], PQM [US], James Lauer [US], James Holden [UK], Yousef [UK], Luke Fair [CAN], and the list goes on...Around Australia I've played regular residencies in Brisbane, Cairns, and now in Melbourne. All amazing cities if you get the chance to travel to Australia... and if you live here get off your ass! If your in any of these places I have two residencies at the moment; preSSure and Neon Elektrik in Melbourne. So come down & listen to some beats.
For international people you can check out National Australian Radio
"Triple J" as I'm a regular guest on Nicole Foote's superb dance show "The Club" and have just had a prized "Mix-Up" slot which streams over the web. Or just send me a message if your interested in the sound I'm putting out there and I'll sort you out with a brand new mix...
