About Me

Guru Monkey are a 'workshop' band. Welcome to their original MySpace page, which showcases the first album project, 'Let's Be Reasonable About This ...' The band recently remastered and reworked many of the tracks on, and added several new songs to, this CD - first recorded in 2005.
J.Everson and Joel Shawn both write and arrange songs. Joel is responsible for major musical embellishments. Sparky (see also Boogie Sue) plays lead and bass. Ken O'keefe plays the drums. Gavin Palmer, from 'Blue Avenue' band, has played bass on a few tracks and Bruno Shakir has also played bass, added treatments to the music and sung on a few of the tracks on the up coming CD. All Guru Monkey works are produced by Joel Shawn.
Due to busy work schedules and stuff we may not be able to get to all our friends individually and immediately, but we'll do our best to say 'Hello!' if we can. Thanks very much for joining the profile, your presence is extremely welcome.
